Registration Instructions
The following instructions will help you through the registration process with the quickest and best results. Please note that we are unable to provide immediate assistance. It may take up to 15 days to complete the entire process depending on the length of time it takes you to provide the required documents.
Step 1. Go to the forms page and complete the following.
Release of Information - Please complete this form to give us permission to speak with whomever we would pay on your behalf, or anyone else who is assisting you that you wish for us to disclose information. Self Declaration - Please complete this form if you do not an income or if you are missing you drivers' license, income documents, social security card, or proof of residency. You will be asked to explain why you have no income or documents and how you have survived without them. Please provide as much information as possible. This will be your declaration as to your circumstances and will be used as a legal statement regarding qualification of a federal grant program. False information may result in fraud charges. So be truthful and clear in your statements. |
Step 2. Go to the Registration Kiosk Page.
If you have never used our kiosk you will click the NEW USER button. You will now create a login by providing your email and by creating a password. Make sure you save this information as you will use it in the future. If you have used the kiosk before you will click the LOGIN button. You will then enter the email and password you previously created. |
Step 3. Household Information
You will need to enter information in all fields in red with an *asterisk to submit your registration. These fields are required by the federal grant we use. You may complete the additional information at your discretion. All information entered is kept private and confidential. We do not share your information with anyone unless you provide us a release of information requesting that we do so. Tips: Number in Household - The number in your household includes in one living in the house. Family Type - Select the one that best describes your family. If you are a single parent but your children are not listed in your household you will choose single person. Referral Information - If someone referred you, please select the option that best fits. You can then let us know who it was. When you are done you will hit Save & Next or Save & Finish Later. If you choose Save & Finish Later you will need to use your username and password to come back and finish. You will not receive reminders. If you choose SKIP you will not have provided the information required to continue and will likely face delays in receiving assistance. |
Step 4. Household Members
You will answer these questions for every member in your household. Questions in red with an asterisk are required. It is best to make the primary applicant as the first household member. Please answer yes to the Primary Applicant question for that person. For the remainder of the household members you will identify their relationship to the Primary Applicant. Tips: Please note that under Demographics the Primary Applicant will answer Head of Household to the "Relationship to Head of Household" question. Race - Choose the option that best fits the household member. Please note that Hispanic or Latino would choose White for race and then choose Hispanic or Latino for ethnicity. Language - If you speak something other than English as your primary language, please let us know. Military Status - If you have never served in the military than you would choose no affiliation for the household member regardless of age. Disabled - You will answer yes to this question if you have received a disability status from the government. Disconnected - The answer is usually no, unless the household member is between 14 and 24 and not working and not in school. Choose Save and Next to keep going. If you need to add more household members, then click the Add Household Member button and keep going until you have entered everyone in the house. |
Step 5. Household Income
You will enter income for every household member 18 and older for the last 30 days. If they have no income you will need a self-declaration form for each person without income this includes children in school who happen to be 18. You can simply explain that the parents support the person. Type of Income - Please enter any income for the type of income listed. Not all income is counted for qualification for all programs. But it saves time if you list all types of income you may have. Please review the income total and make sure that it equals your household income. Income documentation is the primary form to determine if you qualify for a grant. Failure to provide this information accurately can delay assistance or result in disqualification. The amount of income you will enter is the gross income received. You must enter the amount before any taxes or benefits are removed. |
Step 7. Required Documents
This is a very important step. We need your income verification and photo ID to move forward. You will click on the Upload Document link. You can then browse the files on your computer or on your phone. You are welcome to take pictures of your documents with your phone. Just make sure the text is legible. On income documents we need to see the name and address of the company along with the date. We also need to see the period for which the income was received and the gross income amount. You cannot continue until you upload your documents. Failure to do this will prevent us from processing your registration. if you need assistance with your registration please email [email protected] with your question. |
Step 8. Survey
This survey helps us to better understand what your needs might be in terms of resources. With a more complete picture we will work to provide you resource information that may help you to improve other circumstances for which you are not requesting immediate assistance. When finished with the survey it may log you out. Just go back to the registration page and log in again. You can then proceed to the next step. |
Step 9. Affirmation and Consent
You have reached the last step! Please type in your name to confirm the statement listed above. If you have comments or feedback for us you may enter in the comment box. The comment box is a great place to tell us what assistance you will need. Hit Save & Review and then you can hit the Submit button. We will now get an alert that you have submitted an application. We will review it to determine if we have everything we need. If anything is missing we will reach out to you. We will need any bills you have or your landlord information. Our staff will explain it to you. |
Step 10. Manage your Expectation
Wait! There is one more step. It is important to manage what you expect from WYO HELP. We understand that you may be experiencing a lot of stress and worry. However, we have requirements that we must follow to comply with our funding requirements. Making sure that we do everything correctly and track everything properly takes time. We are not promising that we can provide anything until a voucher or approval document is provided. We will do our best for you, but there are levels of review that must take place before final approval is given. Our average time from when you submit an application to when a vendor receives payment is 18 days. We may be able to provide a voucher prior to that time so the vendor knows payment is coming, but we won't be able to take that step until we have received final approval. That is why it is so important for you to submit any requested documents as quickly as possible. We will never verbally promise a vendor or landlord that we will make a payment. We only make assurances with a printed document that can be verified as from our organization. You should never tell someone that we are paying for you. We will take care of that part with a written document. |
