Welcome to our Community Services Block Grant program!
The purpose of the CSBG program is to alleviate the causes and conditions of poverty in communities by removing the barriers to self-sufficiency.

The following are resources available to participants of our CSBG program.

Qualified CSBG Participants may receive assistance in the following areas.
  • Physicals
  • Vision Screening
  • Prescription Payments
  • Doctor Visit Payments
  • Dental Screening Exams
  • Dental Services
  • Temporary Housing Placement
  • Rent Deposit Payments
  • Rent Payments
  • Mortgage Payments
  • Home Repairs
  • Independent Living Home Improvements (Ramps, Grab-bars, Handicap Accessible)
  • Utility Payments
  • Utility Deposits
  • Referrals
  • Transportation Assistance (Auto Repairs)
Eligibility Requirements
  • A resident of Carbon, Crook, Goshen, Niobrara, Washakie, or Weston Counties in Wyoming.
  • Income must meet the current percentage allowed of the Federal Poverty Guideline. The current allowable rate is 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline. Current poverty guidelines may be viewed by clicking here.
Required Documents
  • Completed intake form via our online kiosk or in office. 
  • Form of ID to establish identity.
  • Proof of Income for the last 30 days. Amounts are to be calculated based on gross averages of income. If no income is available a self-declaration form will be required.
  • Current lease, bill, or estimate that includes your name, address, account number (if exists) and the vendor name, address, and phone number.
  • W-9 for vendor.
Program Limits
  • The dollar amounts available per service are subject to change based on grant amounts remaining and number of participants being served. Please verify with your coordinator as to what is available when applying.
Availability
  • Participants will be served on a first come first served basis until funds are depleted. A denial may be given for CSBG funds if no funds are available by the fiscal office only. A denial may also be issued if the participant has exceeded usage allowance or if the participant does not qualify based on income requirements or if the participant does not provide the required documents. There are no other reasons for denial.
