YOUR RIGHTS & FEEDBACK
Civil Rights & Equal Access
WYO HELP is committed to providing services fairly, respectfully and in accordance with applicable civil rights and nondiscrimination requirements.
Everyone Deserves Dignity and Respect
People seeking assistance through WYO HELP or a WYO HELP-funded program should be treated with dignity and have equitable access to available services. Eligibility and service decisions should be based on applicable program requirements—not personal bias, stereotypes or unrelated characteristics.
Fair & Equal Treatment
Applicants, participants and community members should receive fair and respectful treatment when seeking information, applying for assistance or participating in WYO HELP-funded services.
Access for People With Disabilities
WYO HELP and funded service providers should make reasonable efforts to ensure that disabilities do not create unnecessary barriers to accessing available programs, information or services.
Language Access
A person's ability to communicate in English should not unnecessarily prevent access to information or available assistance. Appropriate language support should be considered when needed.
Privacy & Respect
Personal information should be handled appropriately, conversations about sensitive information should be conducted respectfully, and people should not be subjected to unnecessary judgment or humiliation when seeking assistance.
